This meat slicer does exactly what it promises once you get the hang of it. The blades are sharp and cut through fresh meat cleanly, giving you even slices without much effort. It feels sturdy in the hand with a steady grip, and the frame doesn’t wobble while pressing the meat through. For meal prep or hot pot nights, it really speeds things up and keeps everything consistent. The manual design means you do need to apply some pressure, and it works best when the meat is slightly firm or partially frozen. When used that way, the slicing is smooth, and the pieces come out clean with very little shredding. The multiple blades make prep much faster than trying to cut everything by hand, especially for anyone who cooks a lot. Cleaning takes a bit of time because of all the blades, but nothing too bad if you rinse it immediately. Overall, it’s a solid tool that gets the job done and makes slicing meat for cooking a lot easier. A strong five out of five if you’re looking for a manual slicer that’s simple, sharp, and dependable.
I LOVE this tool. I truly dislike slicing raw meat because until now it has been a chore involving many steps involving freezing the meat a little but not too much, and the possibility of severe injury while holding the meat. With this fresh meat slicer, I can slice meat easily with meat I’ve just brought home from the store. I turned the green knob on the base to suction it to the counter and the slicer did not slide at all during use. I removed one of the sets of blades to adjust the thickness to 4mm. Cutting the meat was way easier and faster than I expected, the slicer was done so quick it surprised me. Be sure to place the meat in the slicer so that it cuts against the grain. I was able to rough cut the bigger pieces of meat into smaller pieces and cut two stacked pieces at a time. I washed the slicer immediately after use and cleanup was quick and easy using the included brush. The only two things to quibble about rather than rave about are that the instructions don’t tell you which side is the sharp side of the blade and the instructions are written so small that I had to take a photo and enlarge it to read what they said. The “dull” side is the side with the green tab; when holding the slicer the correct way the smooth side of the blade holder is towards the user.
